Dior Granville Satchel Tote Is a Must Have Bag !

I've always love Christian Dior's fashion, and their accessories are just fabulous! They are must have for all the fashonistas! Today when I browse the Dior official site, I found the newly released Dior Granville Collection & there comes a Dior bag that I just need to have it!

Available at Luxe-Gifts.com

You must be wondering why this bag is named "Granville"? well, Monsieur Christian Dior was born in Granville, Normandy. I find the hand stitching of the "cannage" detail so beautiful! because they are slightly irregular and they're 3 dementional. The detail is achieve through pin tucking the leather so it is actually a part of the bag rather than applied, so the intersections of the lines are a bit off. You would think this is a flaw but it is done so well that it is just a perfect example of DIOR's superior quality and worksmanship.

Of course, silver-tone hardware completes its luxurious totality, which you can find on the loops and on the hanging DIOR charms. It has a zip along the top, and the hour-glass shape can actually be folded over, just like on other convertible bags we have these days. This gives you an option of whether carrying it as a handbag through its top handles with rings or as a shoulder bag through its detachable strap.

What I love the most is the multi compartments inside of the bag! The interior of the bag was divided into 3 large compartments by the big fully top sip center divider pocket compartment. so you can fit all of your stuff in and still looking stylish & fabulous!

Here is a photo of Demi Moore carrying the LARGE size granville

Even tho Ashton is super hot but I still can't keep my eyes off Demi's fabulous DIOR Granville

We hope you enjoy the review of this fabulous DIOR Granville satchel/tote bag, and if you like the bag, we've just received the size Medium Granville directly from DIOR and now available at our very own online store Luxe-Gifts.com ! come check out the bag, it will be the best investment purse you'll ever get!

Untill next time, be well and look fabulous !

FENDI Patent Leather & Gold Color Embossed Leather Lining Peekaboo Satchel

What's the first thing that comes into your mind when you think about the famous Italian fashion house "FENDI" ? those big "FF" logos all over the place right? If you love their logos then you can't get enough of it ( Just like I am such a CHANEL "CC" logo freak! haha) but if you hated their "FF" logo then you probably would totally disregard any of the FENDI handbags.

BUT!!! Since in Spring/Summer 2009 collection continues to Fall/Winter 2009 and 2010, Fendi has came up with all different type of the new "IT BAG" name "Peekaboo Bag". It's sophisticated & understated! all the bells & whistles are inside of the bag! so when you close the bag all you see just a understated handbag but when you leave it open, the top droops down and reveals all different types of beautiful lining inside of the bag. From beaded "FF logo" to Fur & snakeskin lining!

Here is one of the many beautiful "Peekaboo" bag, this one is the Black Patent Leather Peekaboo with embossed Gold color checkerboard lining. (Available at Luxe-Gifts.com)

This crinkled patent Peek-A-Boo bag is so understated and ladylike that I almost can't believe it's Fendi. I mean, where are all the bells and whistles? There's not even any snakeskin on this bag! The truth is that this bag doesn't need anything extra to make it work. It has an old fashioned, sophisticated charm that defies trends.

The simple shape of the bag combined with the sleek patent material and the pronounced seams creates a sharply tailored look that will work for a lot of women. For edgier fashionistas, the Peek-A-Boo would make a great bag for the office, but I think a lot of women will find that this is a highly versatile, high quality accessory that can coordinate with a lot of looks.

The details on this bag are so luxurious and plentiful that it's hard to know where to begin. The inside of the Peek-A-Boo is made of a fabulous laser cut suede with gold paint that will make you want to reach into your purse at every possible opportunity. The gold metal hardware is understated and beautiful. And the interior compartment of the bag is ingeniously divided into two sections, which each have pockets of their own.

Here is FENDI's Spring/Summer 2009 Fashion show when they debut the Peekaboo Bag

Untill next time, be well and look fabulous !

The Velvet Touch - Rosalind Russell & Leon Genn

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this film!! besides that Rosalind Russell is my favorite old Hollywood actress, this film kept me on the edge of my seat wondering how the story is going to end! it's a must see movie for any one of you who is a big fan of Rosalind Russell.

Most of us thik of Rosalind as "Auntie Mame", she is so great at her comedic role but not many of people know that she is great when it comes to dramatic role!!

Based upon a story by William Mercer, The Velvet Touch stars Rosalind Russell as Valerie Stanton, a celebrated Broadway actress whose latest smash comedy is coming to the end of its successful run. The play's producer, Gordon Dunning, has produced all of Stanton's hits for the last decade, and takes credit for making her the star she is today.

He is therefore upset when she informs him that she wishes to make a break with him by both marrying Michael Morrell, a renowned architect, and by taking a stab at one of the classic roles -- namely Hedda Gabler -- under the auspices of another producer. Dunning has no intention of letting her move forward with her plans, and he tells her that if she refuses to continue working with him in light, profitable comedies, he will reveal unflattering information about her to Morrell. Frightened that this will destroy her relationship, Stanton picks up a statue from Dunning's desk and delivers a fatal blow.

Fortunately, because she is wearing her trademark long black gloves, there are no fingerprints, and Stanton creates a plausible alibi. Suspicion therefore shifts to Marian Webster, a rival of Stanton's who finds the body and was once romantically involved with Dunning. Stanton seems to have gotten away with murder -- but can she avoid making any mistakes as police captain Danbury proceeds with the investigation? You just have to watch it yourself to find out!!

Now go grab a big tall drink or a cup of coffee, get cozy up on your chair or sofa & enjoy this super fabulous movie!!

Hermes Yachts - The Ultimate Luxury Floating Island

This is probably the ultimate luxury one can get when money is no object!

The "WHY Wally-Hermès Yachts" is the new company created by french luxury brand Hermès and monaco based yacht maker Wally, dedicated to a new lifestyle of living on the sea. Click on the media player below to experience the magic !

designing a boat with a new concept is not an utopia. at every turn the yacht offers maximum space, durability and cutting-edge technologies. the exchange with Wally and Hermès was rooted deeply in terms of know how and sharingthe same philosophy of this new concept.

Hermès was involved in every step of the process from concept to realization, consideringboth the outside and inside were just one of the many things. as always just like with alltheir designs they paid special attention to detail, developing the overall architecture of the vessel evaluating issues of speed and spaciousness.

the boat is contained in a triangular hull measuring 58m x 38m. there is no superstructure. the initial idea of this hull was confirmed by the ramform hull which they discovered, redesigned and adapted to fit the concept of the wheel house that emerges from the silhouetteof the ship. the interior of the yacht is fitted out with water resistant buffalo leather usingthe calpinage technique.

The yacht which took years in the making has been tested in gotebourg, sweden,in a specialised tank testing facility, to see how it would perform in big seas. the outcome is that, in full swell, the bow moves a tiny bit and the stern stays completely still. anchored, the boat creates a totally flat surface behind it, like an olympic-size pool where you can swim in total peace. on the bow, there’s a seawater pool 25 metres long that follows the curve of the bow.

The environmental and ecological advantages are a strong point of the boat WHY.different sources of energy are managed by a central computer. The yacht is powered using a diesel electric engine. a surface of the photovolaticpanels which measure approximately 900 square meters provide the solar electricitygenerated which covers part of what is needed to subsist the boat. The concept was developed by president and CEO of Wally luca bassani antivari, artistic director of Hermès, pierre-alexis dumas and design director of Hermès gabriele pezzini.

Left - CEO of Wally luca bassani antivari
Middle - Pierre-alexis dumas, artistic director of Hermès
Right - Design director of Hermès gabriele pezzini

"Everybody’s dream is to live on an island, in complete freedom, without constraint, with the independence that only self-sufficiency can provide. a piece of land with a beautiful villa partly fulfils this aspiration because it is static. A yacht offers the freedomto move, but does not have the space of a property. WHY has it all: space, stability, movement, independence, peace. WHY goes even further. This revolutionary concept of the moving islandis developed with the latest and most advanced sustainable technologies, recycling thermalenergy, as well as any organic and inorganic waste. the architecture of the whole project fits perfectly in the environment – there are no excesses, nothing is superfluous, the impact on the sea is minimum. A new and unique way to live on the sea while caring about it, protecting it, and loving it. all this has always been my dream too, and when I met pierre-alexis dumas I realised that this dream could come true thanks to the common values and ethical principles we share." Said luca bassani antivari, president and CEO of Wally

"From the invention of the compass to block capitals, from the rudder to the first steps on the moon, man discovers and pursues his dreams. with its feet on the ground and its head inthe stars, Hermès, since its creation in 1837, has grown, generation after generation, throughinnovative projects, executed with high standards and an artisan spirit.I have always thrived on the dreams of great visionaries like magellan, jules verne, saint-exupéry and paul klee. like theirs, the path of Hermès is to pursue its dreams… excelling itself, learning, pushing ever further the quest for excellence and the celebration of beauty in the world. a world we must protect. today, Hermès steps into the marine world with Wally. we quickly recognised our common values, the values of well-made, singular, functional, refined and elegant objects. this encounter was just what we needed to inspire us to brave the open seas. together, with luca bassani antivari, we hope to open a new path, to offera new lifestyle that is different, serene, contemplative and respectfulof the environment, moving slowly on the water, combining the pleasure of sailing and absolutecomfort. Wally Hermès Yachts – WHY – is the union of our dreams, the green path that carries us away in its wake…" Said pierre-alexis dumas, artistic director of Hermès

So did they came up with the idea of building this yacht? pierre-alexis dumas says "my inspiration is still the greek caïque, roomy, generous and slow. this eulogy to slowness is demonstrated in such a magnificent way. a pared-down craft with nothing superfluous about it. we needed a stable hull in orderto hold the sea comfortably. the idea of a triangular hull, which doesn’t exist in the worldof leisure boating, came from the utilitarian merchant marine."

and luca bassani antivari syas: "I came across a picture of a supertanker while reading a professionalmagazine. a cable-handling vessel, used in the geo-mining and seismological industry in the north sea, invented by a norwegian naval engineer, roar ramde, and fully patented. there was nothing new about this ship. it had been in use for twenty-five years. as soon as I saw it, I picked up the phone and called my consultant naval architect, mauro sculli. he looked in the RINA, the italian naval classification registry: never seen or heardof before in the world of yachting! it was perfect. we had our hull. we bought exclusive rightsto the concept, patented strictly for yachting."

So you must wonder did this new territory , a "Floating island" require them to come up with a new way to design a boat ?

Pierre-alexis Dumas says: WHY addresses the very real problem of consumption, which is today exacerbated by the global context. we provide an answer in a field where clients are responsible for setting an example, embracing a new ethic. what this market needs isa boat designed with the environment in mind. this new way of moving on water must giveway to a new way of managing energy, its sources and uses, how to recycle it, etc. the same goes for the choice of materials; we have to limit the effect on the environment.

Gabriele Pezzini says: we didn’t design a boat, we gave shape to an idea. the sea is one of the lastspaces where people can indulge in absolute freedom. deciding to live on the sea means rethinking everything that’s been done before. you need to start from scratch! for example,we provide a real jogging track inspired by coastal paths running around the ship. above all, we had to transpose and translate functions into forms, and vice versa, by mergingthe viewpoints of Hermès and Wally.

and for all of your "eco-friendly" people out there, this fabulous Hermes Yachts is totally enviromental & ecological friendly !!

Pierre-Alexis Dumas says: ours requires less power at cruising speed than a boat of equal size. its diesel-electric motorisation is the most efficient motorisation out there today, and the surface of the photovoltaic panels, almost 900 square metres, covers part of what’sneeded to subsist on the boat! we’re also looking into a telescopic wind-turbine system and a retractable mast with a computer-operated sail measuring over 200 square metresthat will produce at least 30 % of the energy used to propel the boat.

So, after seeing and reading all the info of this fabulous Hermes-Why yachts, are you dreaming about taking a vacation on this luxurious "floating island" like i do now... well, when you win the lottery or marry to the Hilton family, then click on the link below,

The Fabulous 80s Fashions, Catfights, Caviar & Dynasty Bitches

The 80s, an era of excesses, over the top fashions we would love to hate but just can't look away. And there are some memorable TV shows that are known for their fashion and little else, and then there are those excruciating programmes where the fashion becomes the focal point, whether it intends to or not.

You might wonder what's the hot new looks for fall 2009 fashion? Padded shoulders straight out of "Dynasty," sequined tops fit for "Golden Girls" and the kind of pleated pants last seen on "The Facts of Life."

(Dynasty - The excesses of the '80s meant big everything, from hair to shoulder pads. All that glitters: The nighttime soap "Dynasty" celebrated an era of excess, complete with shimmering fashions worn by leads including Evans and Joan Collins.)

Though designers have been flirting with the decade for several seasons, a clutch of marquee names delved into the era's flashiest, most bombastic side for fall. The homage to the color-drenched era was, in some cases, so unapologetic you almost expected Joan Collins to stroll out in a Swarovski-encrusted Bob Mackie gown boasting shoulder pads meatier than twin rib eyes LOL!

(Golden Girls Fashion then and now)

Well, over the years as the fashion trends have progressed, so has the fashion on our favourite TV shows, and for the most part it has got a hell of a lot better. You can't help but laugh at some of the campy looks sported 20 years ago on some of our fave programmes though, but hopefully through their style mistakes and triumphs, we have learnt a few of our own fashion lessons.

(Miami Vice - Don Johnson's pastel color push-up sports jacket look was a big hit)

We've chose couple of the best fashion savvy programmes to hit our screens over the years that influenced us and many people around the world how to dress in the golden eras of 80s, and for people my age, save by the bell was one of the show I look for fashion ideas when I was in high school, yes laugh all you want! admit it, you want to be as cool as Zac & Slater don't you?!

(Saved by the bell - all the neon color printed shirts & bleach jeans.... it was every high school kid's must have items! yes I confess, I have couple of the polka dots big shirts & my rainbow color vans shoes LOL)

So, in the fall winter 2009 fashion shows, it was full of pleated, tapered pants and boatloads of neon, Marc Jacobs' über-'80s show looked like a casting call for "Square Pegs." Meanwhile, designer Christophe Decarnin of Balmain - the house that nudged fashion into the decade's decadent side last season with pieces such as Michael Jackson-style jackets - harnessed the hard-edged party girl of the era with skin-tight minidresses and pointy, winged, padded shoulders.

(Pretty In Pink - How would the movie's warring richie preps and New Wave outsiders fare in today's fashion world? The big jackets and high-waisted chinos on pretty-boy Blane (Andrew McCarthy) might need an update -- or can just be recycied as women's wear -- but Duckie's (Jon Cryer) skinny jeans and Andie's (Molly Ringwald) leggings and layers have been a part of street fashion for years. See, geeks win in the end.)

Considering the worldwide recession, it seems a curious time to be making such showy, fashion-forward clothes. Wasn't it just a few months ago that most of fashion magazines were preaching the virtues of "investment dressing"? What is it about the current climate that's delivered us back to the '80s? could it be people are tired of being worried about money and being sensible? Even though it wasn't the carefree time everyone remembers it to be, the '80s looks like the party we've not been allowing ourselves to have lately. It's a denial of the recession.?

Come think of it, when we are in bad economies, clothes tend toward the staid, and in boom times the fantasy is to look downbeat and poor like the purposely stained, torned jeans, jackets, I even seen some handmade "couture tees" that makes you look like a homeless man! of course with a $250 price tag to achieve that look! haha!

And now that a tough economy is the reality, we want to look "Rich, over the top & fun!" Suddenly, we're living the old adage of hemlines rising and lipstick colors getting brighter when the economy tanks "We're in a tough economic time, and a lot of these '80s-inspired looks give off the image of a strong woman," said Gregg Andrews, fashion director for Nordstrom, which is betting on '80s-style boyfriend blazers from Stella McCartney and shoulder-centric pieces from Donna Karan this fall. "It's about a woman still being feminine, but not fragile or frail. The strong shoulder, the hardware on things -- I look at it as being modern urban armor.

It's true that there are few decades that have offered such a treasure trove of memorable (and cringe-inducing) looks. And in this era of anxiety, maybe the season's key trend is to dress optimistic and adding a pop of bright neopn color into your daily wardrobe! don't let the recession to drag you down!

Now grab a glass of Champagne, sit back and let's time travel to the fabulous 80s with this Dynasty Reunion Special
