Reminder: Glitter and Glam to Benefit Agape Animal Rescue: July 17, 2011

I had previously posted this back in April, so I wanted to remind you all about this weekends event. Here is the original post:

Glitter and Glam is back for another year of interesting fashion and an even better cause. This year’s event takes place July 17, 2011 at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel (2100 West End Ave.) from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This fashion show features doggie couture designs from Linda Higgins, complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres, a red carpet, and a first class silent and live auction. Dress is cocktail attire and all proceeds from the event benefit Agape Animal Rescue. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased here.

Join us on July 17, 2011, when Kacy Hagerty from WSMV’s “Better Nashville” will host Nashville's most unique fashion show of the year. This night of elegance will go to the dogs-literally. That's when Loews Vanderbilt Hotel will roll out the red carpet for the third annual Glitter & Glam: A Wine Tasting and Fashion Show for the Animals.

Hosted by Agape, Glitter and Glam will be held from 5-8 pm. This year's show will feature glamorous doggie couture designs from designer Linda Higgins, doggie embellishments by Come, Sit, Stay and of course, the crowd-pleasing doggie models strutting their stuff down the runway.

Plus we are expecting more than $15,000 worth of amazing silent and live auction items including: weekend retreats for your pets, fabulous art pieces, unique Nashville Predators merchandise, and much more! You will not want to miss this over the top auction! 
This is a great chance to enjoy complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres, fashion, and darling furry friends while saving rescued dogs' lives — all in one night!

5’6 or taller female, and males with any experience. They need 20 models, but whomever would be willing to volunteer would work just fine. The models will get gift bags, and the products inside are very valuable. Also, we have a fashion director who will ensure all of their needs are met. I received this in my inbox this morning- a message regarding a Fashion Thrifting Reality TV Show Casting Call. This is from the same talented casting director who has contacted me in the past about Project Runway shows. It's not Nashville-specific, but I know a lot of you out there are thrifting queens, so I figured I'd pass this along. Here's the message regarding the TV casting call:

Bullets & Mullets Casting Call: June 4, 2011

On Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, retailer Bullets & Mullets will be hosting a casting call for its Lookbook editorial. Both male and female models who are agency ready, and 16 to 25, are encouraged to audition. Also, selected models will be considered for future editorials and opportunities. Here’s a little more information about the casting call:

- Height: Females, 5’9”; Males, 5’11” (minimum, flat-footed)

- Women should wear tasteful, form-fitted clothing, heels, little to no makeup and hair pulled back off the face. Men should wear a fitted t-shirt and pants.

- Bring comp card and/or portfolio.

Compensation: You will receive digital and/or print tearsheets.

If selected, you will be required to come to one fitting prior to the shoot and commit to a full-day for shooting.

Casting Call: Splash Swimwear Fashion Show

The Fashion Office has been asked to produce and style a swimwear fashion show at Mad Donna's. The show "Splash: A Place In The Sun" is Saturday June 4th.  I am looking for SUPERHOT male and female models, all ethnicities. If you are available and interested please send at least 2 photos (1 headshot and 1 full body shot) with your name, number, age and height to contact@thefashionoffice.com. Model Casting Call for Project Runway Designer Korto Momolu: May 14, 2011

That's right, ladies and gentlemen. Korto Momolu of Project Runway season 5 needs models! According to modeling agency Doll House, female models should be aged 14-26, 5'8, and sized  0-8; male models must be 6'1-6'3. Naked Without Us is doing things a little different this year and allowing designers to choose their own models. I think this is fantastic as it allows each designer to showcase their creations on indviduals hand-picked to represent their line. And there are still some designers in need of models. Amy B clothing and Love, Simone are seeking models. Message them on their Facebook pages if you're interested in this opportunity.

Muse Boutique Seeks Models

The darling Muse Boutique is looking for models for a future Muse event that "will be tons of fun and take place at a fun downtown venue." No word on what the project is.. fashion show? living statues? photo shoot? Who knows! LaBamba of Nashville Casting Call: April 7, 2011

Romantic Creations Bridal and Tisha Claire are seeking models for their runway shows taking place at the Southern Women’s show in Nashville, TN. The casting call takes place tomorrow, April 6, 2011 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Romantic Creations (2131 Belcourt Ave.).

Romantic Creations Bridal show is scheduled for Sunday, April 24, 2011. Models should have the following measurements:

Chest: 36-36

Waist: 27-28

Hips: 40

Tisha Claire’s fashion show is scheduled Friday, April 22, 2011. Models should be between sizes 6 and 8.
