Local Highlight: Escape: Designer Select

If you don’t know designers Dylan Stephens or Nicole Cooley- you’re missing out. These cats are an adorable team of design innovation and personal style. Recently the pair hosted their own fashion show, Dawn of the Apocalypse (view photos here and here, featuring their latest collections. And now this dynamic duo are at it again. With the recent launch of their website, Dylan and Nicole have concocted a Nashville-must: a wardrobe rental service that links models and photographers with fashion designers. The company, Escape: Designer Select, describes their purpose in the following paragraph:

Photo shoots should be an escape, something to release you from reality, and that's what we want to deliver. Models can choose exclusive garments from a variety of designers fresh off runways. A complete outfit is priced vary, but individual pieces from a look will be priced lower and will be negotiable between the model and designer. This price includes a stylist to be with you to deliver the look, help style you, etc. on the day and duration of the shoot. Options can also be brought on the day of the shoot to see which works look best.

And I think this is a fantastic idea! Watch out for this duo. According to inside sources, these two have big plans for Nashville.

Upcoming Event: Shopping Party, November 13, 2010

I love shopping and I love parties. So why not combine both? On November 13, 2010 the ladies of Studio 615 (located at 2922 West End Avenue) will be hosting an event titled Shopping Party!!! created by the social group Grown Gals Just Wanna Have Fun 2. According to the Facebook invite guests will be treated to an evening music, shopping, appetizers, drinks, and door prizes.

The event is designed to create a fun night of shopping with the Grown Gals to purchase the latest fall trends and stock up on summer sale items. Tickets cost $7 and there is a minimum purchase price of $150. Also, a $30 deposit is required, which will be counted towards your minimum purchase and must be paid by October 1, 2010. Universal Event Planning is looking for hostess/promotional models for our next event. We are looking for diverse models to be in attendance at a Luxury Car Show for European Cars.

Nylon Mag in Nashville!

Today through Wednesday, the uber-hipster fashion publication Nylon Mag will be in Nashville, TN to scout out street style, fashion designers, and more. Here is the information regarding the event as listed on the Nylon Mag website:

November is our annual America issue, but this year, we're doing something different: NYLON staffers will divide and conquer the country, hitting eight major cities in pairs.  We'll be shooting street style and local bands, artists, designers - everything!  All we need is you to show us around.
